2026 Celebrate 20 Quilt Show Winners!

Nancy Youens - Best in Show
Cog In the Wheel
by Nancy Youens

BEST OF SHOW

 Pattern is by Teresadownunder
 Free motion quilted by Kimberly
Wilcox

Nancy’s inspiration: “I liked the
asymmetrical nature and negative space
in this design. The challenge for me was to
use only material that I had in my stash, so
it made for some compromise in colors
and fabric. The quilter had carte blanche
and she exceeded my expectations.”

Karen Potter - Challenge
Winter’s Glow
by Karen Potter

First Place for the “How’s the Weather?” Challenge!

 Pattern is Winter’s Glow by Linda McGibbon
 Quilted by Quilting Snowflake
Karen’s inspiration: “I was inspired by the symmetry
of the pattern. At first glance I did not notice it was a
snowflake, possibly because we rarely see
snowflakes in Houston! When the category of weather
was announced I decided to complete this project for
the quilt show”.
Jennifer Cutler - Weather Challenge
Me & The Bee – by Jennifer
Cutler
First Place for the “Let’s Party” Challenge!

 Pattern is The Dress by Laura Heine
 Quilted by Jennifer Cutler

Jennifer’s inspiration: “Sometimes it feels like
it’s always Charity Bee Wednesday! I used
orphan blocks from my Mom’s stash, odds and
ends from my stash, and Kaffe flowers for my
crazy hair”.
