Your 2026 Quilt Show is just a couple of months away and volunteers are
needed. Below is a listing of activities and a brief description of the areas
you can volunteer for. Additional activities may be added in the future.
Keep an eye out for the Volunteer Sign-Up emails that will be sent to Tri-
County Quilt Guild members that will contain links to each of the Activity
Sign-up pages. If you have any questions or need assistance, please
contact Denise .
Boutique
The jobs for Boutique include checkers and floaters. We will need two checkers working checkout at all times.
The floaters will help total and bag the purchases for the
checkers when a line is backed up, in addition to their other jobs in the Boutique area.
Hanging Quilts
This job involves hanging quilts to be displayed in our quilt show as well as removal of quilts at the end of the show. (Must be able to climb ladder, stand, bend and lift bins containing quilts).
Loading / Unloading Trailer
The contents of the storage unit need to be moved into the Uhaul truck for transportation to the Berry Center, contents then unloaded at Berry Center. Once the show ends, all bins, supplies, etc. will need to be loaded back onto the uhaul truck and then unload contents back to the storage unit. It would be helpful to have several teenage boys/men to help load the Uhaul trailer. Also, if you have any dollies or moving equipment, please bring or let us know for possible use.
Membership Table
This job involves introducing the public to what the Tri-
County Quilt Guild is all about and possibly recruit a few
new members!
Office Security
This activity involves watching over TCQG volunteers
personal belongings in a designated room at the Berry
Center. The person watching the room would just check to
see if everyone has a badge to enter the room.
Opportunity Quilt
This job involves selling tickets to the public during our quilt show.
Public Admissions
This job involves selling tickets to the public as they visit the show.
Quilt Intake
This activity involves intake of quilts being shown at the quilt show.
School House
Schoolhouse volunteers welcome guests and provide support to the session facilitator. Duties may involve standing for brief periods and passing out supplies/flyers.
Silent Auction
This job involves overseeing the area that displays donated quilts that will be auctioned off for sale and encourages participants to make bids.
Tin Can Raffle
This activity involves ticket sales and oversight of item being raffled off during the quilt show.
Treasure Aisle
Treasure Aisle is an emporium offering various items for sale such as fabric, patterns, sewing and quilting supplies and equipment, and much more. Volunteers will assist customers as needed, process payments, straighten area, etc.
Treasurer Support
This activity will support the Treasurer in any $$ matters during the show (collect money from areas, provide change or any other assistance needed).
Vendor Support
Volunteers assist vendors by directing to applicable sites, delivering lunches and any other assistance as necessary.
Volunteer Admissions
This job involves checking in volunteers to their assigned duties.
Support to Quilt Appraiser
The volunteer will assist the quilt appraiser by coordinating those who have signed up to have their quilts appraised, assist appraiser with scribing any notes during the appraised times and any other assistance to the appraiser as needed.
